Battery CableBattery Cable is the most widely-used cable in industrial, commercial, automotive, truck, and related applications. Maney Wire supplies battery cable that is 100% copper for maximum performance, not coated aluminum. Maney Wire supplies of Battery Cable in a variety of lengths. Our Battery Cable is available in SGT Battery Cable or SGX Battery Cable, in gauges from 6 gauge to 4/0. SGT Battery Cable is Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Insulated. SGT battery cable is recommended for connecting battery to switch, starter and ground on automobiles, trucks, buses, tractors, trailers, light duty boats, and other motor driven equipment. SGX Battery Cable is cross-link polyethylene (XLPE) insulated. SGX battery Cable is recommended for connecting battery to switch, starter and ground on automobiles, trucks, buses, tractors, trailers, light duty boats, and other motor driven equipment. It is desired where higher durability and high heat resistance is required; such as in engine compartments of vehicles. SGX is superior to SGT because it will not melt when exposed to heat. All of our battery cables are resistant to abrasion, cracking and a variety of chemicals including gasoline, oils, diesel fuels, grease, and acid. If you need cable that requires high flexibility, you may want to look at our welding cable selection. Welding cable flexes easily, especially in cold weather, and is easier to route in tight places, it also has smaller strands which make the cable more flexible and it has a more rugged outer jacket to protect against daily industrial damage. We can also make custom battery cables to your particular specs. We manufacture custom cables using a 10,000 lb. hydraulic press which securely fastens lugs and terminals to either welding cable or battery cable. Then heat shrink is applied to seal the connection for the most secure and corrosion resistant connection possible. Call 877-4MY-WIRE for details.
